About Me

Thelma Louise Landrum, Ph.D., LPC, is the founder of SelfQuest Coaching and Consulting, Inc. After gaining valuable therapeutic experience in a major behavioral health hospital treatment center, two state university counseling centers, and working closely with private psychologists, Dr. Landrum chose to open a private practice utilizing her education, experience, and sincere desire to help people who are seeking counseling to end their suffering in silence.

Dr. Landrum performs a thorough intake and assessment of each individual seen at her office. Every new person seeking counseling will complete a baseline depression and anxiety assessment as part of intake paperwork.

Treatment modalities include:
Solution-based therapy, Cognitive/Behavioral approaches, and Brief therapy. Treatment focuses include, but are not limited to: Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Vocational issues, Low Self-Esteem or Self-Efficacy, Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual issues, Anger Management, Body Image, and Decisio
n Making.

Dr. Landrum obtained a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University. She earned her B.S. degree in Nursing, also at Arizona State University. She is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and she is designated as a fellow with the American Psychotherapy Association.  Dr. Landrum, like all licensed counseling professionals, is required to submit a specific amount of continuing education credits every two years. She has submitted at least double the amount of continuing education units due each time she renews licensure, because she enjoys learning and staying in touch with the most recent information to assist her with helping her clients. Dr. Landrum is highly respected by a variety of medical professionals who have repeatedly referred their patients for counseling.
